What is the theme of TEDxSabanciUniversity, “I am”?

Each person is a different universe from one another with his/ her different thoughts, and experiences. We all have lived different lives, and seen the life from different angles. We, as TEDxSabanciUniversity, think that each different life is precious and it deserves to be shared. We believe that TED organizations gives a great oppurtunity for each individual to share his/her invaluable journey of life. Furthermore, TED courages people to ask themselves what they should do in life, and what they are passionate about. TED helps people to start their quest of finding self. This is the place where you can proudly be yourself, and inspire the others around you to discover their inner selves. This is the place to be delighted with freedom of being unique. This is the place where you can celebrate being yourself. That is why for TEDxSabanciUniversity 2013 we have chosen the theme: ‘I am’.

Who are the Speakers at TEDxSabanciUniversity for 2013?

Event Language

TEDxSabanciUniversity will be a full time English event.

Time and Location

TEDxSabanciUniversity runs from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm Thursday, February 21 at Sabanci Gösteri Merkezi, Sabanci University Campus. After TEDxSabanciUniversity Event starts at 5:10 pm, right after the event and lasts until 6:30pm at Hangar Cafe, Sabanci University Campus.

Transportation

We will be providing shuttle service for our attendees from Kadıköy and Taksim. If you choose to use shuttles while registering for the event, you will be contacted with additional information. We have parking spaces ready for attendees who would like to arrive in Sabanci University with their own vehicles.

Food

We’ll have some coffee breaks during the event where you can enjoy our university's local Starbucks team's coffee. Moreover, we have After TEDxSabanciUniversity Event at Hangar Cafe where attendees and speakers can gather and discuss their ideas while enjoying their burgers and sharing our famous TEDx cake.

Dress Code

Be comfortable, TEDxSabanciUniversity is not a business trip.
